This website, ctrl-band.com (the “Site”), is operated by CTRL (“CTRL”, “we”, “us”), a band based in Wexford, Ireland. The Site is here to share our music, photos and links to the platforms we’re on. It doesn’t sell anything, and it doesn’t have logins or accounts. By using the Site you agree to the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy set out below.
01Terms of Use
We provide this Site on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We put it together with care, but we don’t guarantee that the content is always accurate, complete or up to date, or that the Site will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the Site at any time without notice.
02Intellectual property
The CTRL name, logo, lyrics, recordings, artwork, photographs and the text and design of this Site are owned by CTRL or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other rights. You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or use our music, images or branding for any other purpose without our written permission. Our music is made available for streaming through third-party platforms and remains subject to those platforms’ terms. The Site was designed and built by Shadow Games & Development.
03Links & third parties
The Site links to and embeds content from third-party services, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Instagram. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices. When you follow a link to, or load embedded content from, one of these services, that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site. In particular, don’t attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, disrupt it, or scrape or reuse its content for unlawful purposes. You must use the Site in line with these Terms and applicable law.
05Disclaimers & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CTRL is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or from any third-party content or service linked to or embedded in it. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
06Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data the Site processes, why, and what rights you have. CTRL is the data controller for that data. The short version: we don’t run analytics, we don’t set advertising or tracking cookies, and there are no forms or accounts — so we don’t collect names, emails or contact details through the Site. 07Data we process
- Technical data — like your IP address and basic browser/device information, recorded in our hosting provider’s standard server logs when you visit. This happens for every website and is used to run and secure the Site.
- Your cookie choice — when you respond to the cookie banner, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so we don’t have to ask again. This stays on your device; we don’t receive it.
- Embedded media data — if you choose to load the Spotify player, Spotify may process data about you (such as IP address, device details and cookies) under its own privacy policy. The player is not loaded until you allow it.

09Sharing & international transfers
We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing. Data may be processed by a small number of providers that help deliver the Site:
- Our hosting provider — stores standard server logs.
- Spotify — only if you load the embedded player.
Everything else — fonts, styles, scripts and images — is served from this website itself. The Site loads no third-party fonts, CDNs, analytics or trackers, so apart from the two items above, simply viewing the Site does not share your data with anyone else.
Outbound links to Apple Music, YouTube Music and Instagram are governed by those services’ own policies. If you load the Spotify player, Spotify may process data outside the European Economic Area; where that happens, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.
10Retention & security
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling period and then deleted or overwritten. Your cookie choice is kept for up to 12 months, after which we ask again (you can clear it sooner via your browser or “Cookie settings”). The Site is served over HTTPS and we rely on reputable providers, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
11Your rights under the GDPR
As a data subject you have the right to be informed, and to request access to, correction, erasure or restriction of your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the Site collects no information that identifies you by name, we may be unable to link standard server logs to you specifically — but we’ll always help where we can. To make a request, email privacy@ctrl-band.com. We aim to respond within one month.
This Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 (the digital age of consent in Ireland).
12Cookie Policy
CTRL sets no advertising, marketing or analytics cookies. The Site uses one small piece of browser storage to remember your consent choice, and can optionally load the Spotify player, which sets its own cookies — but only after you allow it.
